On this episode: In November 2019, our freshman class on multilingualism in schools and society read the book "The Far Away Brothers" by Lauren Markham. This book sparked many discussions about immigration and our role, as multilingual youth, in projecting and fostering more positive views and constructive ideologies about the linguistic and cultural assets immigrants bring to our society. This episode features college freshman students in the class multilingualism in schools and society exploring issues of immigration through Julio’s lens. Via interview questions, Julio shares his perspective on what it means to work, speak another language and live in the US as an immigrant.
